Quotables
I argue very well. Ask any of my remaining friends. I can win an argument on any topic, against any opponent. People know this, and steer clear of me at parties. Often, as a sign of their great respect, they don't even invite me.

The Journey Begins
Skip Evans

Hello science supporters! Ingrid Laas and I will be heading out to Chicago today to attend the Darwin / Chicago 2009 conference at the Univesity of Chicago. I'll be posting updates throughout the event here at madsciencepub.org so check back on lunch breaks, after dinner, and those little moments when you tell that "certain someone" you're just "popping out for some ciggys"... you know what I mean, even if I don't.

It's going to be a very cool event with a lot of interesting and great speakers.

We'll be on the road in just a few hours with our intrepid professional journalistic advisor Flightless Frank. Flightless, or FF as he's known by some of his cynical pals in the press trade, will be giving us tips and advice along and way, and if we're lucky post a few thoughts of his own.

Flightless Frank checks out his laptop, preparing for the trip.
